Eppy's Comeback

After a long drought and going winless this new kart season, eppy is finally back in the winner's cricle. Last week he and his boyfriend clyde teamed up to get eppy's first win. This week, even though clyde coached him through the last race and eppy ignored his advice, eppy still managed to pull out a back to back win.

So, my wavebird seems to be kind iffy. Even with fresh batteries, some times it seems as though it cuts out for a split second every once in a while. It can be devastating when it happens in the middle of a slide and you come out of your slide driving of course.

So if anyone wants to buy me a new wavebird, I will wear your add during kart lunch. We can put some decals for you on the wavebird too.

Eppy Loves It When Knarf Wins

Today was another kart lunch day. Main goal: Make sure Knarf doesn't win his 3rd kart lunch in a row. Seems like a pretty easy goal, nah. He was even third in picking kart racers. What does that mean? It means no mushroom racer for Knarf, which also means no super golden mushroom item, which means it should be harder to catch up or speed ahead.

But, I did forget the one special super power item Knarf did have...Eppy love. Yup, once again, Eppy decided he wanted his boyfriend to win yet again. If he would have just let me win the last race (Peach Beach), Knarf and I would have at least tied and would have gone to a super death match, winner take all, no ifs-and-or-butts. But alas, there was no death match, no dethroning of the current Kart Lunch champion.

So here's to Eppy and Knarf. May you have a happy life together.

Today In Kart News...

Nothing happened.

Yesterday, though, after a long drought of no kart lunch we finally got our game on. No thanks to eppy and clyde. Eppy finally won his first race in the last 2 kart lunches. Tomorrow is Championship Kart Lunch day where you know the blue sparks will be broughten.

Why We Play The Game

For the love of the game. The skilled competition. The glory of crossing the checkered line first. And free Taco Cabana!

Eppy's infamous self-sacrificing blue shell fiasco in the first champsionship game last Friday will go down history. As the current reigning champion, it is my honor, no...my DUTY to enjoy a free Taco Cabana Fajita Taco Combo today and defend my title. Kart selection will be key. Last week's final standings were 1. knarf, 2. eppy, 3. clydefrogger.

So for this week's championship race, clyde gets to select a kart first, then eppy and finally myself. No doubt both toad and toadette will be off the board by the time I get to select. That leaves me with Parakoopa, Diddy Kong or Bowser Jr...tough choice. During time trials yesterday, I should have been smart and practiced with these drivers, but I made a run for Toadette. A mistake in hindsight.

Keys to defending the crown...grab boxes! Don't drive around them, don't drive between them...but go through them and pick up a weapon. Stay on the road...especially on the Rainbow Road course. Last week in the championship game I fell off twice on the final stretch and gave a way a huge 1st place lead and ended up in 3rd almost giving away the championship. Yesterday, as seen below, I yet again fell off at the end of the race after hitting a box at the final ramp and tumbled off the edge and into 3rd yet again.

Poor Eppy...actually, nope, don't feel sorry for the guy. Last race, last rap, last straight-away. I held a slight lead against Knarf and was 2 seconds away from crossing the finish line. Eppy trailing plenty behind in third place, hoarding a blue shell, decided, "hey, I'm gonna launch this sucka and ruin my chance at a free lunch next week.". And that's what he did. Blue shell zeroes in on me, knocks me into the air, and Knarf streaks by to take the checkered flag, and with that, the free lunch from Taco Cabana. When the final tally showed on the screen, Eppy was not a happy camper. If he had only held on to that shell, he would have been the victorious one. Instead he's a Sad Sally.

Mario Kart....Woo Hoo

This blog is intended to document the lunches that are kart.

I believe introductions are in order. We are three friends who gather on a some what regular basis during their lunch "hour" (we're crazy sometimes and go over an hour) and engage in some blue-sparking, red shell throwing, and lightning bolt...bolting? You will see daily scores, overall scores, daily recaps, possibly some trash talking, cheat accusations, and with a little bit of smarts, some actual gameplay footage, and game player action vids. Should be good times.
